WHY YOU NEED IT!
OK - in your classes, whether it’s in years 6 - 9, or Year 10 /11 GCSE classes, you’ll have young musicians with differing abilities, on a wide range of instruments. You may have a beginner flute player, a Grade 3 clarinettist and a Grade 5 trumpeter for example.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In WHAT A PERFORMANCE! you get ELEVEN pieces, each piece graded in difficulty. The top melody of Piece 1 (Swingtime), for example, features just 4 different pitched notes; Piece 11 (Ballroom Waltz) is approx. Grade 4/5 standard.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s not all! Most of the pieces are arranged not only so that they sound fine as SOLO pieces (with piano or backing track accompaniment) but are in fact written as DUETS, making them highly flexible ENSEMBLE pieces.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s not all! The pieces are arranged as a minimum for instruments in both the key of C (recorder, flute, oboe, violin, keyboard) and Bb (clarinet, trumpet, trombone, sax in Bb). We say “as a minimum” because this refers to the STANDARD version - there’s an EXTENDED version available, which also includes extra arrangements of all the pieces for many other instruments in the form of Sibelius files (both Sib 2 and Sib 3), which means that any school with Sibelius is able to print out these extra parts, or even arrange the music for specific combinations of instruments. See panel on left for more details.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s not all! Because the pieces are composed by leading educational composer Jon Raybould, they’re lively, fun and enjoyable for your kids to play - and both the standard and extended versions come with a specially recorded CD featuring backing tracks and rehearsal tracks (slower tracks for your pupils to rehearse along to).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally, all scores and parts are FULLY PHOTOCOPIABLE within the purchasing school, and the backing CD may also be copied for your pupils to take home and use for their practice, too!
