Book 1 is in two parts: “Playing Tunes” and “Playing Tunes and Chords”, and starts right from the beginning. It’s steadily progressive - a thorough approach.
Throughout the course, pupils gain “credits” for completing tasks. This is a great way of motivating pupils to practice which has been tried and tested many times in the classroom.
Book 2 features lots of duets, trios and quartets for pupils to play in the classroom (or in lunchtime “keyboard clubs”) in pairs and in groups.
It’s an ideal way to teach the National Curriculum requirement - “perform in a group, maintaining a part independently of other parts”. Features “Jazzy Duets”, “Rock Trio”, “Christmas Calypso”, and many more interesting pieces to play.
